For the whole organization to benefit from the test, we ask you not to tell your colleagues about this message.
What is Smishing?
Smishing is when someone sends you a fake SMS/text message trying to trick you into giving them your private information. For example, they might pretend to be your bank and ask you to update your account information, or they might say that you've won a prize and ask you to give them your details to claim it. But in reality, they're just out to steal your information. It's always important to be careful and never share your private information unless you're absolutely sure who you're sharing it with.
Avoid clicking on links
Links in smishing messages can lead to malicious websites that try to steal your personal information or install malware on your device.
Do not respond
By responding, you can confirm to the scammer that your phone number is active, which can lead to more smishing messages.
Do not give personal information
No matter how convincing the message may seem, you should never give your personal information, such as passwords, bank details, or social security number.
